the B and the E thresholds into three. For example, if the difference between the B and the E threshold is
24 marks, the C threshold is set 8 marks below the B threshold and the D threshold is set another 8 marks
down. If dividing the interval by three results in a fraction of a mark, then the threshold is normally rounded
down.

The thresholds for the syllabus are determined first by adding together the thresholds for the components
taken by the candidate. A reduction may be made at the higher grades depending on the correlation of the
papers. If the maximum raw marks for the components are not in the weighting/relationship specified in the
syllabus, a weighting is applied to arrive at the overall thresholds.

The A* threshold is calculated using the
difference between A and B as a starting point.

For AS Level components, small adjustments may be made to the marks awarded for some versions of the
paper in order to neutralise any differences in the difficulty of the different versions and so make sure that all
candidates face an equal demand.

I got the following information from a couple of teachers & students plus el Tansik office :

1)Tomorrow 14/8 is the deadline for buying the folder from el Tansik office and it’s for 500 LE. ( Alex Candidates buy it from " 3ezbet Sa3d " )

2) Ppl who went to el tansik office and applied, their papers got accepted and here is a list for what's needed:

a) shahadet el milad
b) certificate of middle 3 (grade 9)
c) National Certificate for Arabic, Religion & civics b stamp el 2edara
d) Original statments of results till November 2010
e) provisional statment of results for June 2011 b stamp el IGCSE department of ur school plus the signature of the department's principal and the school's principal. (U will write 29raar btasleem the latest original one once received and most probably u'll have to travel to Cairo or to the college itself).
f) Wasl noor from 3 months or more.
g) 6 personal pics (taken from some w 7abba la2a )
h) estmara 2 gond (for male candidates)

1)Tomorrow 14/8 is the deadline for buying the folder from el Tansik office and it’s for 500 LE. ( Alex Candidates buy it from " 3ezbet Sa3d " )

2) Ppl who went to el tansik office and applied, their papers got accepted and here is a list for what's needed:

a) shahadet el milad
b) certificate of middle 3 (grade 9)
c) National Certificate for Arabic, Religion & civics b stamp el 2edara
d) Original statments of results till November 2010
e) provisional statment of results for June 2011 b stamp el IGCSE department of ur school plus the signature of the department's principal and the school's principal. (U will write 29raar btasleem the latest original one once received and most probably u'll have to travel to Cairo or to the college itself).
f) Wasl noor from 3 months or more.
g) 6 personal pics (taken from some w 7abba la2a )
h) estmara 2 gond (for male candidates)

Egyigcse releases Grades thresholds of May/June 2011

The threshold (minimum mark) for B is set halfway between those for Grades A and C. The threshold
(minimum mark) for D is set halfway between those for Grades C and E. The threshold (minimum mark) for
G is set as many marks below the F threshold as the E threshold is above it.

The thresholds for the syllabus are determined first by adding together the thresholds for the components
taken by the candidate. A reduction may be made at the higher grades depending on the correlation of the
papers. If the maximum raw marks for the components are not in the weighting/relationship specified in the
syllabus, a weighting is applied to arrive at the overall thresholds.

The A* threshold is calculated using the
difference between A and B as a starting point.
